Point Plomer Campground, Limeburners Creek National Park, NSW.

Beach in front of Point Plomer Campground.
Point Plomer Campground is a fishing paradise and a mecca for surfers and ocean kayakers. We voted it one of our top ten favourite campgrounds in 2018. We particularly enjoyed wandering around the local beaches and clambering around the cliff tops. I will write a separate blog about the walks we did.

Camp Shelter with a view, Point Plomer Campground
The large camp shelter looks right out over the beach and is a beautiful spot for an early morning coffee or to sit and watch twilight descend.

Entry to the boatramp, Point Plomer Campground.
The boat ramp is in the center of the campground and is used by the local professional fisherman who launch their boats by tractor early in the morning.

There is a central amenities block with flush toilets and cold showers. Site fees can be paid on arrival at the caretakers shop where ice, water, firewood and permits are for sale.

Dingoes roam through the campground and along the local beaches. Be dingo safe by  securing your food and supervising children, even to go to the amenities block.

Humpback whales pass by from May to October.
